Produce the highest quality BIM as-Built Model within the shortest amount of production time (BIM Production Sprint) while exploring how we can use BIM to make existing buildings smarter, and become Smart City ready.
The Student Competition will build on the BIMHarambee.Africa 2021 theme of BIM in 2030 (and its role in Smart Cities). The learnings from the Student Competition will inform the Panel Discussion on 21 October 2021.
Today’s students are tomorrow’s architects, engineers, contractors, project owners and developers. This is an opportunity to embed BIM (Building Information Modeling) thinking and practices into planning and development but also explore ways in which students are able to innovate in this space.
We believe that BIM is the most comprehensive instrument in our toolkit for taking digital asset inventory, delivering and managing responsible buildings for the future.
How will BIM help to improve the management and sustainability of our existing buildings stock in Africa?
How could we use BIM to get existing African buildings Smart City-ready?
