Plan City – Design, Evaluation and Communications of the Urban Environment

Session synopsis

Plan.City is a set of site evaluation and presentation tools for the Architects and Urban Planners. Plan.City encapsulates London as a digital twin. You are able to exploit the data with new sets of tools and even optimise and import any existing or a 3rd party city model. It is also easy to pair with 3rd party databases, custom databases and 3rd party 3D models.

Why should people attend?

Plan.City is powered by UE4, the most advanced 3D game engine with built-in optimisation system. The app has been designed to be stable and work smoothly with large city models. If you would like to learn more on how a gaming engine is used to make an app for unique city planning and developments and building tools to help utilise the app this is the right session to attend.

    Rachel Rowson

I have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from University of Portsmouth and continued my studies at University of East London where I gained the Master of Architecture (MArch) in 2016. Before joining AccuCities I worked for architecture firms that mainly work on residential schemes and project management on an airport for Zaha Hadid Architects. My main knowledge is on the UK regulations and approach to the built environment in UK cities alongside a growing interest in urban design and innovative digital technology to provide efficiency to new developments.
